On November 20th 2009, AfriGrowth Foundation organized its 2nd annual dinner. The event took place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja. This year the focus was on the establishment of Afrigrowth Mentoring Centre in Abuja. The Mentoring Centre is aimed at encouraging positive mentoring and improves on activities which would make mentoring a mass movement in Nigeria. The event featured different activities and entertainment like the Silent Auction, Song performances, Comedy e.t.c. the event also attracted guests from the Diplomatic Community, Representatives of government Ministries, AfriGrowth Mentors, Representatives from various international organizations and friends of AfriGrowth Foundation.

Also, in line with our objective to provide good nutrition, educational materials and good health care to orphans and vulnerable children, presentations were made to Bema Homes, an orphanage located in Abuja. The orphanage was presented with clothes for the children.

A second presentation was also made to three schools in Kaduna and Abuja. The schools are:

-Yusuf Dantosho Primary School, Kaduna

-Tunga Maya Literacy Project.

-HDFN School, Kwafo Road

The schools were presented with 300 exercise books each.
