Foundation To Announce Winner Of Online Reading Competition August

An Abuja based non governmental organization (NGO), AfriGrowth Foundation has disclosed that it will be announcing the winner of the on going online reading competition, tagged the Dayo Keshi Literacy Prize for Children Storytelling at the end of the month.
Keshi who is the president of the foundation explains that the Literacy Prize for Children Storytelling will engage school children resident in Nigeria currently staying at home due to COVID 19 pandemic and offer them the distinctive opportunity of improving their creative thinking.
She added that stories for the competition must be solely written by a child who is between 8-10 years old,which they will tell or read in a captured video that will be uploaded via the Foundation’s designated Twitter handle.
The competition which opened for entries on August 1, 2020 has deadline for submission of stories for midnight of August 15, 2020.The children will develop a short story (maximum 500 words),There will also be online voting exercise on all social media handles for the best 40 entries. The top 20 entries from this voting exercise will move to the final stage of assessment.
Winners and finalists will be notified through emails or phone calls by August 31, 2020. With cash prizes, school bags, storybooks and hampers to be won.
