Oluwatosin Abimbola Dopkesi was born on July 12, 1969 is currently the Managing Director (MD) of Africa Independent Television (AIT), Africa’s media power house. She is a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalist and an Associate member of Nigeria Institute of Management. She has many awards to her credit; some of them include “Great Woman of the 21st century in Broadcasting in Nigeria”, Citizens Image Special Recognition Award for her contributions to Nation Building. For her exceptional contributions to the broadcasting industry, Wisconsin University, USA conferred an honorary “Doctor of Philosophy” in Public Communications; for her unwavering love for children the World Mission for Children International gave her an honorary “Doctor of Communications” degree in 2003…to mention but a few. She obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology from lagos state university, back to the University of Lagos for her post graduate diploma in Mass Communications in 2001; later that year she bagged a Diploma in Television Management from Institute of Television Practitioners Association of Nigeria (ITPAN). Tosin is widely travelled; her desire for knowledge saw her through the United States Information Training Institute in USA where she obtained a Diploma in TV broadcasting. She is one of the pioneer Presenters of the famous weekly current affairs programme Kakaaki.
